Hello! My name is Caleb Sims and am the owner / operator of Red Letter Steam. If anyone is allowed to say that carpet cleaning is in their blood, I think it would be me.

My dad has been cleaning carpet for over 35 years and has been running his own business in Abilene, TX for the last 30! My grandpa has been cleaning even longer, running his own business for over 50 years now. In fact, he is in his mid 80’s still cleaning every day! If you ever run into someone from Abilene, chances are my dad or my grandpa have cleaned their carpet.

I grew up watching and learning the business but to be honest, steam cleaning was not on my radar at first. I went off to college and earned 2 degrees; one in Pastoral Studies and the other in Science Education. I chased after some dreams in those fields, but ultimately never really felt fulfilled in them. I always felt in my heart that I needed to start my own business but I was not sure what it should be. I was blessed with the opportunity to work in the steam cleaning industry here in Houston and immediately I knew that this was the industry I was born to be in.
